INTRODUCTION
The qualification is ideal if you have worked in hairdressing for some time and want to develop your skills in a specialised area. You might want a broad qualification or to learn a particular technique. Employers and professional bodies have been consulted to confirm that the content is appropriate and consistent with current practice, should you wish to enter employment directly in the hairdressing sector.
All tuition takes place at The Gibraltar Academy of Hair and Beauty training salons. Online tests take place at Gibraltar College.
This course may be funded by the HMGOG Scholarship Award Scheme. You need to make an application to the Department of Education for a Discretionary Scholarship Award:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Certificate in hairdressing or equivalent together with industry experience or for those with industry experience only a Level 2 skills test.,
English and Maths GCSE level
A good school/College report.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This specification is designed to be taken over one year. The student needs to complete all mandatory units and a minimum of 10 credits of the optional units.
