BTEC NATIONAL EXTENDED CERTIFICATE IN PERFORMANCE (ACTING) (603/7233/2)
INTRODUCTION
The qualification is equivalent in size to one A Level and offers an engaging programme to support learners who want to pursue a career in acting. This size of qualification allows learners to study related and complementary qualifications alongside it, without duplication of content. When taken alongside further Level 3 qualifications, it supports access to a range of higher education courses in the performing arts sector.
You will continue your education through applied learning in all aspects of performance giving you the opportunity to focus on your personal development through individual and group work.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A practical acting qualification at Grade 4, OR, a successful pass at GCSE level drama or an audition via recommendation.
A good school/College report.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This specification is designed to be taken over two years. At the end of the second year, students will have achieved five units:
PROGRESSION
This qualification carries UCAS points, supporting entry to higher education courses in a wide range of disciplines. It develops transferable and higher-order skills that are valued by higher education providers and employers, for example performance techniques, communication skills and team working.
