INTRODUCTION
The travel and tourism sector is the UK’s third largest employer, accounting for 9.5 per cent of total employment and is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK in terms of employment. This qualification is designed for students who have a keen interest in exploring the travel and tourism sector. Through engaging and practical assignments, students will delve into key concepts such as customer service, travel planning, and the diverse roles within the tourism industry.
The course encompasses various subjects, including the impact of tourism on global economies, sustainable practices, and contemporary trends that shape travel experiences.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A good school report
A Level 1 Award PLUS Level 1 Mathematics and English; OR
4 GCSE passes with minimum grade E or grade 3 (or equivalent) including English
COURSE STRUCTURE
All learners will be required to complete and pass all 3 units to achieve a Level 2 qualification. Failure to do so, will result in a Level 1 qualification or an unsuccessful portfolio. Candidates will need to ensure that they follow all instructions and deadlines provided by their teacher.

PROGRESSION
Successful completion of the course offers candidates several routes for progression:
Entry into employment within the tourism sector
Progression to Level 3 qualifications either within the same area or in a related area.
