INTRODUCTION

The Cambridge Technical Certificate in IT will provide you with knowledge and skills of the essentials of IT and Cyber Security. These current topics will help you gain an insight into technological change, global IT infrastructure and legal and security considerations. You will have the opportunity of applying these transferable skills and tools in practical settings, helping you gain further understanding and developing transferable skills such as communication, problem solving, time management, research and analytical skills. The Certificate focuses on the skills required to support the needs of business through data analysis and decision making, to identifying the most suitable channel to communicate a business need and creating suitable content. In addition to the mandatory units, you must also achieve the synoptic mandatory unit Using Data Analysis Software. Employer engagement is an essential qualification component, which provides greater relevance to the programme and the world of work.

Assessment includes centre-assessed units with practical and wider project-based opportunities, as well as externally examined units.

The qualification will be graded with a Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction Star. This Level 2 Certificate is equivalent to 2 GCSE’s.
