INTRODUCTION
This Level 2 Technical Certificate in Hairdressing aims to provide you with a range of essential and practical skills and knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the hairdressing Industry. The skills include carrying out services such as; shampooing, conditioning, styling, dressing and setting hair, cutting and colouring. Following successful completion of this qualification, you will be qualified to work in a number of employment destinations such as hairdressing salons, hotels or cruise ships.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
4 GCSE passes with minimum grade E or grade 3 (or equivalent) including English.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This qualification covers all the core skills you will need to progress to further learning and training, or to enter the world of work within the hairdressing industries. To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Hairdressing candidates must successfully complete the mandatory assessment components:
Theory exam (Externally set and externally marked);
Synoptic assignment (Externally set, internally marked and externally moderated).
In addition, candidates must achieve the mandatory employer involvement requirement for this qualification before they can be awarded a qualification grade.
